Neuro Note #6 I watched a YouTube video called, Andrew's Story: Guillain-Barre Syndrome . Andrew was a fit and active young man who was a fire fighter. This video shared about his journey with GBS. It was extremely moving and emotional to watch the disease progression. He got so sick and nearly died. There were also lots of complications along the way due to poor services provided. This video also touched on the impact of a disease on the entire family. This video interested me because you saw the impact of GBS on a perfectly healthy person. The onset of the disease caused a rapid decline in his abilities to breathe, eat, and move. As we learned in class, people can recover from GBS. It was really neat to watch Andrew's rehabilitation journey. I would recommend my classmates to watch this video to gain a better understanding of GBS. Reference: YouTube. (2017, August 1).
